Responsible AI Policy

Supply Unchained's trustworthy AI principles for human rights due diligence and supplier-risk workflows.

Human agency and oversight

AI-supported outputs assist expert review and do not replace accountable human judgement. Users remain responsible for supplier decisions, escalation and final recommendations.

Technical robustness and safety

Workflows are designed to be reliable, monitored and proportionate to the risk being reviewed. We prioritise clear failure handling, quality checks and appropriate human review.

Privacy and data governance

Data handling is limited to what is needed for the workflow, with attention to access control, retention, confidentiality and lawful processing.

Transparency

AI-assisted outputs should be explainable to reviewers. Where practical, workflows connect conclusions to source material, assumptions, confidence and review steps.

Diversity, non-discrimination and fairness

We assess human rights impact, bias and potential discriminatory effects when designing and reviewing AI-supported supplier-risk workflows.

Societal and environmental wellbeing

Responsible AI is evaluated against wider human rights, worker, community and sustainability impacts, not only technical performance.

Accountability

Ownership, audit trails, documented decisions and escalation routes are central to our AI governance approach.
